Luis de la Fuente on Florian Wirtz: A Spanish Talent Wish
Spain’s national team coach, Luis de la Fuente, has identified the German player he would want to see in the Spanish squad if given the opportunity. Spain is currently recognized as a leading force in international football, having secured both European and world championship titles.
The Spanish team features a roster of top-tier players, including talents like Pau Cubarsí, Marc Cucurella, Rodri, Pedri, and Lamine Yamal. Despite this strong lineup, De la Fuente specifically mentioned Florian Wirtz as a player he admires.
When asked by German outlet BILD which player from the German team he would most like to have, Luis de la Fuente responded:
“Florian Wirtz! An incredible player. It’s unfortunate he doesn’t have a Spanish passport. I truly appreciate his playing style.”
